The Teen Center is a program that focuses primarily on education and leadership development. The Teen Center offers structured educational and recreational activities for high school youth ages 14-18.

Programming for the 2012-2013 School Year includes:

Homework Help
High school teens who need extra help with homework or just want a space to work on assignments are welcome to come Mondays-Thursdays from 4-6PM. Volunteer tutors are available to assist with homework.

Youth Council
The Youth Council represents the voice of all youth participants and makes decisions on the direction of the program. Youth Council members assist in organizing and coordinating Teen and CSTO events, serve as a mentor for younger youth, and support with fundraising and outreach.

CEOs (Career & Entrepreneurship Opportunities)
CEOs is an experiential learning program that teaches youth basic entrepreneurial skills. Youth will learn specific skills such as goal-setting, business planning, budgeting, and advertising. Youth will use these skills to start, own and operate their own business in a team. Youth will also engage in financial literacy and career readiness workshops that
will prepare them for the workforce.

STEM
The STEM Program focuses on two main areas: multimedia production and computer science. Youth will acquire skills such as creating a storyboard, handling video equipment, editing videos and more. The computer science component uses lessons from App Inventor, a curriculum designed by Google and MIT. Youth will learn basic computer science skills and create cell phone apps.

Structured Activities
Structured activities include Video Productions, monthly game nights, scheduled culinary workshops and more!
